Willowbarn is on the Dava Way, the walking and cycling route along the old railway between Forres and Grantown-on-Spey.
Your own lochan
Relax in the 4-acre garden by the lochan. Fly fishing lessons can be arranged through Visit Moray Speyside, depending on the season.
Cycling and running
Road and mountain bike trails from the door; Findhorn Bay is a favourite ride. The closest parkrun is in Elgin.
Whisky and history
Dallas Dhu and Benromach distilleries are nearby, with castles all around.
Golf, rafting and the Cairngorms
Two championship courses in Nairn (The Nairn and Nairn Dunbar) and Forres Golf Course are close by.
A 10-minute drive takes you to world-class whitewater rafting on the River Findhorn, and the Cairngorms are a little further south.
